Student Ministries

 Fuel Junior High Ministry 

We meet every Sunday morning for Bible study at 9:15am in Room 201. We hold several Fellowship opportunities at various times during the year such as Lock-Ins, Fall Retreats, and , and many servant events, such as serving church dinners, Easter breakfast, and Vacation Bible School.

Ablaze Senior High Ministry

We meet every Sunday morning for Bible Study at 11:30am in Room 201. We have monthly activities at church or out in the community.  There are several service events and fellowship times throughout the year.  We assist at the tent revival, church dinners, Easter breakfast, and Vacation Bible School.

Confirmation

Students in grades 6 – 8 are invited to begin confirmation classes which are held on Wednesdays at 6:30 pm during the school year.  The classes are taught by Pastor Toopes.  In confirmation, a young person learns the basics of the Christian faith. Luther’s small catechism is used as a guide to instruct students in an understanding of the Lord’s Prayer, The Apostle’s Creed, Baptism, Communion and other beliefs as given to us in the Holy Scriptures. Each youth is given a Bible and a copy of the catechism as their own.  

When the basics have been mastered, a student is ready to participate in the rite of confirmation. They become members of the congregation as they publicly confess their faith.  This confession encourages them in the continuation of their faith journey.  This is a special time for the whole congregation as they celebrate bringing them into membership and promise to support them on their continuing journey as a disciple of Christ.
